Deputy Sheriff:
Gwinnett County,
GA Deputy Sheriff Bill Edge was
killed in an automobile/motorcycle
accident late Monday afternoon going
home from work. A woman driving an
ice cream truck ran a stop sign, was
hit by another truck and spun into
the lane Bill was riding in. Bill
hit the truck head-on on his
motorcycle and died shortly after
the accident. We, in the
department, are all in disbelief and
stunned, such a good man gone in
such a senseless accident. He will
be missed.
Bill’s funeral will be Saturday,
June 6th at 2:00pm at the
Hebron Baptist Church in
Dacula, GA.
Motorcyclists will meet at the
Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office
parking lot ( 2900 University Pkwy.
NE, Lawrenceville – aka highway
GA-316) at 12:30PM to stage bikes
and ride to the Church as a group.
